As an online platform for booking auto repair shop services, TruckOn helps registered fleets and repair shops improve efficiency along the value chain through digitalization. Fleet operators benefit from planning reliability, transparency and time savings, while repair shops achieve greater capacity utilization and acquire new customers. Last year's launch of TruckOn in a number of European countries was the starting signal for new partnerships and functional upgrades.

Partnership with Schaeffler

Continental and Schaeffler have agreed on a long-term collaboration with a view to driving repair shop digitalization. In the future TruckOn will benefit from linking up with Schaeffler's REPXPERT service brand. This should not just enable registered repair shops to expand their own service offering over the long term. The platform should also be made more attractive through mutual recommendations.

REPXPERT supports repair shops with a full range of technical documents, special tools and training courses. When a REPXPERT partner repair shop registers with TruckOn, it gets bonus points from REPXPERT which can be redeemed for services and rewards. Schaeffler will also benefit from the partnership. For example, TruckOn are planning a filter function which fleets will be able to use to search specifically for repair shops that provide Schaeffler brands (LuK, INA, FAG, Ruville). Dr. Robert Felger, product and research & development manager at Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket, feels that the partnership adds a great deal of value, “As a strong partner for auto repair shops, our REPXPERT service brand brings immense systems knowledge and technical expertise to the partnership. Our product brands and repair solutions are of OEM quality and help to substantially reduce downtime.”

There is even planned to be a single-sign-on in the future, i.e., a function that repair shops will use to log in to both platforms – TruckOn and REPXPERT – at the same time, so they can easily skip between the systems, providing they are registered with both portals.

Integrated Pay Function

Later this year, the TruckOn portal will be launching a practical, time-saving pay function that repair shops can add to their free profile for a small charge. They will benefit from their work being paid for in advance. Fleet managers will be able to pay conveniently, online, for any fixed-price services, such as tachograph inspections. “This will simplify processes, including for the drivers, who will no longer have to worry about paying there and then,” explains Viridiana Chaveron, Head of TruckOn.

With this feature, TruckOn is placing a particular emphasis on the security of the payment method. When the fleet manager books a service and the repair shop confirms it, the corresponding payment is reserved on the credit card. When the job is complete, the amount is collected, but if it is canceled the sum is released.

Viridiana Chaveron says that the platform will be further optimized and that new, practical features will continue to be added. In this way, it will continue to be closely aligned with the needs of the repair shops and fleets.
